General Information

School Colors:             Purple and Green

School Mascot:            Mustangs

Office Hours                 8:00 am - 4:00 am

Our Focus on Learning:

Make sure your child keeps toys, electronics, large amounts of money and other personal belongings at home.  Cell phones may be turned off and kept zipped in a backpack, if needed.

Uninterrupted Instruction:

If you need to contact your child's teacher directly during the school day, please send an email, use class communication (ie. Parent Square or Class Dojo) or call the office and ask to be connected to their voicemail.

Tardies/Early Pickups:

Please make it a priority for students to arrive on time and to stay the entire school day so they are able to get the most out of their education.  Excessive tardies and early pickups disrupt learning for the entire class.  Make medical appointments outside of school hours, if possible.  We would rather have your child attend part of the day than not attend at all.

Reporting Absences:

Report all absences.  In order for an absence to be cleared a parent must call (951-845-5052), send an email ([email protected]) or ParentSquare message, or send a note within three days of the absence in order to inform the school of the reason for the absence. When a student accumulates absences, whether excused or unexcused, written communication will be mailed home for the school district.  Make daily attendance your #1 priority!

Parent Communication:

Make sure the office has your current phone number and email address.  We send emails or text message through ParentSquare to inform you of important events.  Check your child's backpack daily for printed materials (ie. permission slips, flyers, fundraising opportunities).

Change of After School Plans:

Discuss arrangements with your child before school each day so they are aware of after school plans.  When emergencies arise, call the school as soon as possible.  Don't wait until the last minute.  We cannot guarantee that messages will reach students during the last 30 minutes of school.

Report Cards and Conferences

Parent Teacher conferences are held at the end of the first trimester for all students. This is when report cards are issued. Spring conferences may be requested by either the teacher or parent. Please make every effort to attend them. Parents are encouraged to conference with the teacher at any time throughout the year. An appointment may be made by leaving a message for the teacher at the office or in writing.

Drop Off:

Students may be dropped off between 8:30-9:00am.  Supervision is provided during this time.  Do not leave children unattended before 8:30am.  TK/Kinder students enter the small gate next to the Front Office.  1st-5th Graders enter the large gate in front of the school.

Pick Up:

Our parking lot is closed from 3:00-3:30pm due to Student Pick Up.  Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten families will need to park and pick up from the TK/Kinder playground.  1st and 2nd Grade families will need to park and pick up in front of the school where teachers will be waiting to dismiss students.  3rd-5th Grade students will be dismissed at the back gate located on the south side of the campus in the large parking lot.  Students will make arrangements of pick up locations with their parents/guardians.

Crossing Streets:

A crossing guard is on duty from 8:30-9:00am and 3:20-3:30pm.  All students and adults should cross at the corner and follow the crossing guard's instructions.  Our number one priority is safety.  Never ask your child to cross in the middle of the street or in front of cars.

Lost and Found:

The lost and found is located in the back of the cafeteria. Please mark your child's sweaters, jackets, backpacks, lunch boxes etc. for easy identification. Small items are turned into the office. Parents are invited to check the lost and found.

Bicycles/Scooters:

Any student riding a bike or scooter to school must wear a helmet and supply a lock. Bikes must be stored in the fenced bike rack area. The school is not responsible for damage or theft.

Visitors:

All visitors are required to sign in with Photo ID at the office during the instructional day. They will be issued a Visitor badge. We welcome visitors but must ensure the safety of our students. At this time, visitors will not be allowed in the classrooms due to health and safety orders.  Please sign out when leaving the building.

Parent-Student Handbook:

You are responsible for reading the Parent-Student Handbook with your child to become familiar with our school and district policies and procedures. The Handbook can be found on our school website under the "Parents" tab.
