Mrs. Desiree Layugan, School Counselor

Hello, my name is Desiree Layugan and I am the proud counselor at Three Rings Ranch Elementary. I love my job and feel so fortunate to work alongside the students and families that we serve here at the Ranch. I received a Master of Science in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona and I received my School Counseling Credential from Cal State San Bernardino. I work from a strengths based perspective and I enjoy working with students to enhance their strengths and improve their sense of self.

Mrs. Silvia Salcido, Behavioral Health Therapist

My name is Silvia Salcido and this year I have the privilege of serving three elementary schools as the Behavioral Health Therapist. I am currently assigned to Palm Innovation Academy, Starlight and Three Rings Ranch. Prior to this role, I was the proud counselor at Starlight Elementary for five years. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Cal State San Bernardino and my Masters Degree/PPS Credential in Counseling from Loma Linda University. I am passionate about helping and empowering students to achieve their highest potential. I believe it is important to work collaboratively with families to provide the necessary, as well as, developmentally appropriate support that students need in order for them to thrive in all aspects of their emotional, mental and physical well being. I look forward to the opportunity of being able to serve students and families in an empathetic, compassionate and dignified manner.

Mi nombre es Silvia Salcido y este año tengo el privilegio de servir en tres escuelas primarias como Terapeuta de Salud Conductual. Actualmente estoy asignada a Palm Innovation Academy, Starlight y Three Rings Ranch. Antes de ocupar este puesto, fui la orgullosa consejera de la escuela primaria Starlight durante cinco años. Recibí una Licenciatura en Comunicaciones de Cal State San Bernardino y mi Maestría/Credencial PPS en Consejería de la Universidad de Loma Linda. Me apasiona ayudar y empoderar a los estudiantes para que alcancen su máximo potencial. Creo que es importante trabajar en colaboración con las familias para brindar el apoyo necesario y apropiado para el desarrollo que los estudiantes necesitan para que puedan prosperar en todos los aspectos de su bienestar emocional, mental y físico. Espero tener la oportunidad de poder servir a los estudiantes y a las familias de una manera empática, compasiva y digna.

Counseling Overview

Beaumont Unified School District offers comprehensive counseling services that are an integral part of each school’s total educational program designed to promote the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. Each school year, counselors visit classrooms regularly to present lessons promoting academic, personal/social, and career development, including topics such as social skills development, social-emotional learning, anger management, academic achievement strategies, and more.
